The event attire is formal cocktail: tuxedos or suits, and long dresses or cocktail dresses.
Event registration begins at 6:00 p.m. After you register, there is a cocktail reception that includes a signature drink and the silent auction. The doors to the ballroom will open at 7:15 p.m. for dinner, program and live auction. Following the event program, guests will be invited to the late-night party concert for more food, fun and dancing. The event is scheduled to end at 12:00 a.m.
No, we do not accept cash at Discovery Ball. Only credit cards and checks will be accepted.

Yes, donations are being accepted using the DONATE link at the top of the website. We do not accept cash or for Discovery Ball donations. Only credit cards and checks are accepted.
If you mail in your donation, the American Cancer Society will send you a receipt for your tax records, approximately six weeks after payment is received. If you make a donation online using your credit card, you will be directed to a confirmation page that can be printed for your tax records. In addition, an email will be sent to you that includes a receipt that can be printed for your records.
Discovery Ball donations will support the mission of the American Cancer Society as it works to free the world from cancer by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
The American Cancer Society is the largest private funder of cancer research in the United States, with more than $4.8 billion invested in the search for new cures. Research funded by the Society has laid the groundwork for virtually every major breakthrough in cancer prevention, detection and treatment seen in the last seven decades. When we began, only a quarter of all cancer patients achieved 5-year survival. Today, more than 2 in 3 will reach this milestone. Through the years, 50 scientists funded by the Society have earned the Nobel Prize for their findings.
